Dealing with Rachel has been everything we could have hoped for when we decided to risk having a new puppy.
It is nearly 20 years since we lost our last pet so we were quite nervous of the task ahead.
Rachel’s very professional approach in all matters, leading up to and following the collection date helped enormously and without it we would have found things to be a lot more difficult.

Following on from my initial search for a breeder of cockapoos I contacted Rachel and didn't look back. I liked that the first call was a bit of a two way interview, Rachel cares about her dogs (well animals in general) and the fact that I was being asked a lot of questions proves that.
No question was too daft, always at the end of the phone or reply to an email with open and honest answers. I like Rachels approach to breeding and it definitely made me think more about the how to bring up a dog.
We have been very blessed with our bundle of floof. She is an intelligent, energetic, affectionate and loving pup. She felt like one of the family from the 1st day. I put that down to Rachels regular / daily pupdates. Being able to see your pup grow from the day she was born is lovely.

Rachel ensures you have all the information that you could ever want to care for your puppy and beyond. She cares deeply about how each puppy develops and settles into its new home and only wants the very best for them. She has huge knowledge and experience and is open to answering any questions before and after you have taken your puppy home. We found this both reassuring and gave us confidence that we were buying from a reputable breeder.
From the moment our puppy came home we followed Rachel's advise and she settled at night from day 1, and a month in, we have only had a couple of toilet accidents. After months of looking at websites and speaking to lots of breeders I chose Rachel because her care for her ‘girls', puppies and 'families to be' was evident through our conversations. Though we grew up with dogs, and our wider family all have them, it was our first experience of owning one ourselves and I wanted to make sure that we had a puppy from healthy, loved dogs and a breeder that could support us both before and after we took a puppy home.
Rachel (and Freddie) have more than surpassed our expectations. As well as the multiple daily videos and photos of Mabel and her pups she also posted useful videos and articles in bitesize amounts so we were able to take on information at a good pace. When we picked Freddie up we left with a starter box of ‘kit’ that Rachel had sourced for us (cost price) which meant we didn’t have to navigate the 101 types of grooming brush, tick remover, ear oil etc. The book that Freddie came home with was beautifully presented (much like a new baby file!) and has been super useful as well as impressing our vet!
We were also grateful for her gentle encouragement to learn about and think through the options around vaccinations.
Above all though, we are now the proud owners of an adorable puppy who is confident, fun, handsome, funny, friendly and very quick to learn and we're so grateful to Rachel for all the hard work she put in during the early days and weeks which has made it so much easier for us.

Rachel responds promptly and can answer anything you throw at her. She is supportive and has a wealth of information. The book that she provides you with as part of the process is simply invaluable. Even after you have bought your pup Rachel is still on hand to assist with any queries that you have and I have phoned a couple of times already for a bit of reassurance and information on things. Billie is the second puppy we have had from Rachel. We were so lucky to have the same mum (Lottie) and dad (Rufus) for both dogs so know they will have the same lovely temperament as well as a strong sibling bond.
Once again Rachel has provided us with the most gorgeous puppy. Billie is happy, sociable, confident, playful and an absolute delight. We were a bit worried that Reggie who is two years older would be a bit of a bully with her but true to his brilliant breeding and early weeks nurturing he is generally tolerant, patient and gentle with her. However they love to play together and when some of it seemed to get a bit out of control with teeth showing and lots of throwing each other around Rachel came to the rescue telling me it was completely normal behaviour and taught me about ‘gentle teeth’ which was the reassurance I needed. It is really good to know that Rachel is at the end of a phone or email if you have any issues and she is always happy to give advice which is so valuable particularly if you’ve never had a dog before.
Billie has settled in so well and is completely at home with us and with Reggie. I love to see them together - running through their tunnels in the garden, out for walks in the fields around our home or just a bit of rough and tumble at various points in the day. Whatever they are doing their tails never stop wagging!
I would whole heartedly recommend Rachel as a dog breeder – I really can’t imagine that anyone else has the love and care for her dogs and puppies that Rachel does. We are now blessed with two perfect dogs and I can’t thank Rachel enough for the enjoyment they are bringing us.

Benji - I instantly knew that we were getting a puppy from a breeder who loved her dogs. Rufus- Going into choosing a breeder we looked at numerous breeders around the south-west and wider UK for a Cockapoo puppy. We definitely chose wisely with Candyfloss Cockapoos and we are so happy with Rufus. Rachel was so helpful and patient with our questions, and the nervous expression we had when we picked our puppy up! She always left us feeling reassured and excited, and Rufus has turned into the most wonderful, happy puppy. A testament to his confidence is that he has been home a matter of weeks and we’ve just had bonfire night. Due to the great start Rachel gave him, and great tips on socialisation, Rufus didn’t bat an eyelid! Didn’t look concerned, fearful or woof!

Immediately after the initial contact with Rachel we knew she was the breeder for us, having lost our previous Cockapoo that year. I can honestly say that although there were 9 months to the litter arriving, which felt like an eternity at times, it was absolutely worth the wait. Rachel was brilliant as lockdown had taken place, by keeping as informed by videos and Phone calls etc. Rachel is extremely knowledgable, caring and supportive throughout the process and beyond. Merlin
From our very first contact with Rachel, we knew we had found the right breeder for us.. We are first time puppy parents and Rachel's advice and support has been invaluable. We were first able to meet Merlin, our very handsome boy , when he was four weeks old, then again at six weeks. It was lovely to see him interacting with his mum and siblings. We brought him home when he was a little over eight weeks old. Rachel gave us a "puppy bag" which included a comprehensive "Merlin" folder detailing his history, health checks and advice, which greatly impressed our vet. The bag also contained a blanket, toys, treats, a collar and lead and a framed photo of Merlin. He is now 15 weeks old and is a chilled, clever and sometimes mischievous pup! He is very loving and we can't imagine life without him. We would recommend Rachel as a breeder without any hesitation at all. I could not have found a better breeder than Rachel to buy my puppy Oscar from. From day one she was incredibly professional and was very keen to find the best homes for her puppies, which I really appreciate. You can see by the way that Rachel loves her own dogs that animal welfare are incredibly important to her. Rachel is a very informed dog breeder, she has a few of her own dogs in a lovely home environment from where she breeds once or twice a year. She takes very great care of all the puppies and mums and her attention to detail with each individual dog or pup is second to none. We researched breeders in the south west and came up with a few but we were only really happy with Rachel. When we first called to have an initial chat about a potential pup we decided to have one that was available at the time rather than wait until later in the year since we didn’t want to have to go elsewhere and we absolutely adore our 16 week old pup. Rachel is totally trustworthy, kind and friendly and will answer any questions you might have without judgement. Rachel has a great aftercare process to keep you and fellow adopters informed and it is through this that there are informal friendships and gatherings/walks thereafter. Lola is our first family pet and getting her, involved a lot of research to find the correct breeder. From the first phone call with Rachel we knew we had made a very good choice. She is very knowledgable, welcomes any questions, and concerns, no matter how silly you may feel them to be, and clearly loves her animals very much, taking time to ensure that they are going to good homes. She was very welcoming during our puppy visits and when we left to take Lola home we felt nervous, but comforted by the fact that we had a puppy information pack for Lola, that even our vet is impressed with, and the knowledge that Rachel was on the other end of the phone should we need her. After contacting Rachel, I just knew that she was the breeder we'd like our puppy to come from. Alfie
We always wanted a dog, however until fairly recently, my husband’s and my lifestyle hadn’t allowed us to have the time to dedicate to having one in our lives. When this changed though, it was a fairly quick decision, and there was only one breeder we would get one from. My mum had got the most lovely cockapoo, Sacha, as a companion for my grandmother three years earlier and Rachel had featured in many conversations since. She was a constant source of information and support for my mum and grandmother, especially when Sacha had gone on to have two litters of puppies of her own (one of which my mum has kept from the latest litter, Lottie). I am a planner to the end and research everything to the hilt before ever making a decision, however I had heard so many positive things about Rachel and knew the amount of support she had given to my mum, I forewent it all and only wanted a puppy from her. She is truly superb and ALWAYS puts the care of her dogs above anything else. Her dogs are her pets and kept in her home, they are not bred too often, always health tested and she invests incredible amounts of time to raising happy, healthy and well socialised puppies. She vets you as a prospective owner as much as you will want to en- sure you are comfortable getting a puppy from her, as she genuinely cares about the home her puppies are going to. This extends to after you take your puppy home as well, Alfie has been with me 10 days now and I have phoned Rachel three times already with questions she has been more than happy to help me with. Tomorrow our little trio of Candyfloss Cockapoos, Alfie, Sacha and Lottie meet for the first time; our family would not be complete without them and the hand Rachel has had in ensuring they had the best possible start in life.

Willow
Once I had decided to bring a puppy into my life, then comes the rather worrying search for a breeder. I knew that I wanted a Cockerpoo as I felt this breed would be perfect for me and the life I have, plus my grandchildren have a gorgeous little Cockerpoo, Saffy who is adorable.
When I finally found Rachel, she was like a breath of fresh air, a delight to talk to and as I had never owned a dog before, she made me feel at ease right from her first phone call, I could tell I had found a caring breeder. Rachel is so passionate about her lovely dogs, and very particular about who and where she places her puppies, so I felt quite special that she chose me. The pups didn’t have the best start in life, but with Rachel’s dedication and love she bought all five puppies through. She kept me informed of Willow’s progress and answered truthfully any questions I had, no matter how trivial. When I first saw the photos of the puppies, I knew straight away that Miss Yellow was going to be my gorgeous Willow. I saw her first at 6 weeks as they were not ready for a visit at 4 weeks. Oh my goodness... she melted my heart and still does. Hero In considering our first family pet we spent a long time researching what breed would best fit with our family. When we decided on a Cockapoo it was a delight to find such a dedicated and approachable breeder who clearly loves her dogs and the pups. Rachel gives the puppies such an amazing start ensuring socialisation in the first few weeks and raising pups with such good temperaments. Hero is a joy and at 15 weeks is loving, patient and energetic. In addition to Hero being such a great pup we know we have access to great advice and support from Rachel and the other owners of her Cockapoos. We were slightly nervous taking Hero home but needn’t have worried. Rachel gave such good information and advice on the visits, from feeding, sleeping and handling to grooming, socialising and cleaning! Our first encounter with a proper breeder, which could have been a bit intimidating to newbies like us, was actually a delight. "From my first contact with Rachel, I felt confident that I had found an honest and reliable breeder who could guide us through the process of finding the perfect puppy. Our search was never about colour or curl, but always about temperament, as the pup was to be companion for my elderly, but very active mother, following the death of my father.
We have already had one bad experience when looking for a dog some 10 years ago. despite copious research, we ended up with our gorgeous boy who has been blind since he was 4, (diagnosed PRA) and lame, because he has dodgy hips. And all this from a registered breeder who, once the cheque was cashed, never returned any calls or answered emails!

We have already had one bad experience when looking for a dog some 10 years ago. despite copious research, we ended up with our gorgeous boy who has been blind since he was 4, (diagnosed PRA) and lame, because he has dodgy hips. And all this from a registered breeder who, once the cheque was cashed, never returned any calls or answered emails!

As first time dog owners, we entered the world of puppy ownership with both excitement and some degree of trepidation. Ultimately the one question every potential puppy parent wants to know is: ‘Have we chosen the right breeder?’. From the first contact with Rachel we knew that the answer to that question was 100% yes. Rachel’s genuine love and passion for her puppies and their welfare shone through. We had regular visits to see the puppies as they grew up, and to see them interacting with their mum and siblings. They have a lovely enriched environment for their first few weeks at Rachel’s, and she puts in a huge amount of effort to make sure that you have all the information and knowledge to carry this on once you bring the puppy home. Her (closed) owners’ Facebook group is a wonderful idea because we can see how Bodhi’s siblings are getting on and get advice if we ever need it. Rachel continues to make herself available for help and support well after you take your puppy home, which is comforting as novice parents. We couldn’t be happier with the way our pup was brought into the world, and would highly recommend Candyfloss Cockapoos for any potential cockapoo owners. Tim & Chelle

I struggle to see how anyone could have anything bad to say about your puppies, how you raise them and run the ‘adoption’ process. We felt that you love your puppies very much and are doing everything you can to help us be good adoptive puppy parents.

When I first made contact with Candyfloss Cockapoos I had been looking at the breed for some time and considering if this type of dog would suit my needs.
My last dog had been a Briard, which I sadly had to rehome due to a dramatic change in circumstances. I was left with a big gap in my heart but also some guilt about letting my last dog down and I was hesitant to become a dog owner again.
Every time I bumped into a Cockapoo out walking, these happy beings made me smile… this breed was always so friendly, happy and adorably cute… 9 years had now passed, was it finally time to try again?.
Rachel was just wonderful…she listened to my concerns and gave me time to find my way to making a decision. She answered all my questions about the breed and had her own questionnaire to assist me in making an informed choice about living with a cockapoo.
Once I said “yes” I received little video updates and pictures of my pup as he grew until he was old enough to visit. I then was able to see how much Rachel loves her litters and what a joy it was to know that this little puppy was having such a great beginning.
I highly recommend Rachel as a breeder, her puppies are a joy and her after care always available.
And, me and Truman…..well, we are like ‘peas and carrots’.

For us, you welcomed us right from the word go, and made us feel safe with who we were contacting. I think as there is not much guidance (like kennel club), I know we found you via Cockapoo Club GB, it does make you feel quite nervous with who you are talking to. As soon as we filled out the application form, and even spoke on the phone, we were reassured and felt confident with who we were going with. You’ve always been really helpful in answering any questions we had, and welcomed us into your house whenever we came to meet Nessie. We’ve felt so lucky to have been given the opportunity to have Nessie become part of our family, and could not imagine our lives without her. She’s been sociable with every dog we have met, does not seem to be scared of anything, greets everyone who comes to the house and even takes herself to bed in the evenings now! We cannot thank you enough for everything you have done, and for the first 8 weeks of Nessie’s life! Thank you.
